CALL FOR A MENTOR APPLICATION
Dear Students,
The International Relations Office of the University of Nyíregyháza invites applications for the Stipendium Hungaricum/Diaspora Mentor student position in the autumn semester of the academic year 2024/2025.
On June 5, 2024, the international students of the University of Nyíregyháza had the opportunity to get acquainted with the cultural heritage of the Szatmár region of our county in the framework of a round trip.
On 31 May 2024, the Nyíregyháza Zoo offered a special discount to the city's residents, which gave the opportunity to international students of the University of Nyíregyháza to visit the park, organized by the International Relations Office of the University of Nyíregyháza.
Portuguese Language Day event at the University of Nyíregyháza
The event was jointly organised by the University and the Angolan Embassy, as a result of a long-standing relationship. The event aims to promote Angolan culture and the Portuguese language.
Speakers at the ceremony were Prof. Dr Klavdija Kutnar, Rector, Dr Mara Cotič, Dean of the University of Primorska, Andrea Földvári-Oláh, Consul of the Republic of Hungary, Prof. Jiri Kocica, sculptor, and Dr Tibor Zielinski, sculptor, associate professor.
His Excellency Dr. Marjan Cencen, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia, Tjasa Vucko, Consul and Cultural Attaché, and Jiri Kocica, sculptor and associate professor at the University of Primorska visited the University of Nyíregyháza.
As an important stop of his visit to Nyíregyháza, on 6 March His Exc. Gabriel-Cătălin ŞOPANDĂ, the Romanian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Budapest, met with the management of the higher education institution. The delegation was received by Dr.

The international partnerships of the University of Nyíregyháza have been further extended.
On Monday, 27 November 2023, representatives of the Zaozhuang University of China visited the institution, where they discussed future cooperation opportunities with the leaders of the university. During the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed.
On the 20th of November 2023, the SH Welcome Event and Award Ceremony for the Stipendium Hungaricum Student Excellence Award was held in Budapest. The event started with a warm welcome by Miklós Lengyel, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
